A CLOWN IS A POET IN
The Clown Prayer
Dear Lord, help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more
happiness than gloom, spread more cheer than despair. Never let me grow
so big that I will fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a child or the
twinkle in the eyes of the aged. Never let me forget that I am a clown,
that my work is to cheer people up, make them happy, and make them
laugh, and make them forget momentarily all the unpleasant things in their lives.

"Ellmo" joined Tunis Shrine Clown in 1988. Elmo won the prestigious award as the "INTERNATIONAL SHRINE CLOWN OF THE YEAR AWARD" for 1994 In 1993, was awarded the 125th Anniversary and Commemorative Medal; in 1993 Canadian Volunteer Award Certificate of Merit; in 1995, Tunis Temple Shriner of the Year. "ELLMO's" motto is: "PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE FOR THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE."

"Skippy" joined Tunis Shrine Clown in October 1988.
"The Black Camel took Skippy from us he is truly missed by all" Skippy won the prestigious award as the 'INTERNATIONAL SHRINE CLOWN OF THE YEAR AWARD" for 1998 "CLOWN HALL OF FAME" Skippy has completed 2218 hours in Face and has been on of the leaders in clowning in Tunis Shrine and in the world of Shrine Clown. Skippy has attended NESCA Clown Institute for the past seven years, received Once Gold Nose and eight Red Nose Awards, attended Clown-A-Rama's where he has placed in the Top Ten in Auguste Class Clown three times, Paradeability Skit once, Four Man Skit once, Parade Skit once, and the Children's Choice once.. Skippy has also received Awards from Tunis Shriners for "SKIPPY's" motto is: "WE BELIEVE IN MAKING WISHES COME TRUE." |

"FUZ-ZEE" says : As Shriners, we are dedicated to helping crippled children walk again, and to correcting the after effects of burns. Shrine Klowns go a little further, by doing our best to bring smiles to those who are confined in Hospitals and Nursing Homes. That is the highest pay anyone could ask for.

"KRAZY KRAZY" Joined MOSLAH Shriners, Forth Worth, Texas. Charter member of the Brussels Shrine Oasis, Belgium 1970. Joined Rhein Pfalz Shrine Clowns, Germany 1974. President 1975-77. Joined Tunis Shrine Klowns 1979. President 1986-1987. Boss Klown 1990-1991. Has completed 2400 hours in face, and performed in 175 Shrine Clown Shows. Received the "CRAFTSMAN CLOWN AWARD" at the Northeast Shrine Clown Institute, Boston, Mass, U.S.A. |
