The Shrine Recorders Association of North America.
MISSION
To promote and maintain a spirit of good Fellowship and understanding among the Recorders of all Temples of the A.A.O.N.M.S. of North America. To plan details of the Recorder's office.
To compile and circulate among its members such information as may be helpful in creating greater efficiency.
To compile and circulate among its membership, as occasion demands, constructive statistical information particularly as regards individual Membership classification.
To encourage the attendance of all Recorders at the annual session of the Imperial Council in order that a more perfect understanding may be had covering matters of interest to the Temples and a proper interpretation of the legislation enacted.
To suggest and recommend changes in existing laws and new legislation to proper committees and officers of the Imperial Council, which, after investigation by this Association, seems advisable for the welfare of the Shrine at large.
Officers
The officers of this Association shall consist of a President, four Vice-Presidents and a Secretary-Treasurer who shall be elected annually by ballot. A majority of all the votes shall be necessary for an election. Nominations for Association office may be made only by a currently elected recorder or an emeritus recorder of this Association. An Assistant Secretary-Treasurer shall be recommended by the Secretary-Treasurer and shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the President.
All officers of this Association shall be active Recorders except that the office of Secretary-Treasurer may be held by an Emeritus Recorder. If for any cause the President or Vice-President should retire as Recorder of his Temple, or resign from his position in the Association, the line shall automatically advance and the President shall fill all vacancies with interim appointments.
Meetings
The meeting of this organization shall be held annually at the place designated for the meetings of the Imperial Council on the morning of the public opening of the Imperial Session.
The fiscal year of this Association shall end on the 31st of July each year.
Membership
All regularly elected and accredited active Records of all Shrine Temples of North America, as vouched for by the Imperial Recorder, shall be eligible for membership.
In case of the retirement of any Recorder who is a member of this Association, his membership shall transfer to his successor.
Honorary Members
This Imperial Recorder, Past Imperial Recorder, Past Imperial Officers or Past Recorder of any Shrine Temple, may be elected to honorary membership upon the vote of three-fourths of the members present.
