Dear Nobles and Ladies:

It is my distinct pleasure and honour to serve you as Potentate of Tunis Temple.

In December of 2000, the late Illustrious Sir Archie Macmillan invited me to be part of his Divan team for the year 2001. I accepted the position without realizing the impact it would have on my life. My lady, Marilyn, and I have traveled, met many new friends and enjoyed the great fellowship wherever we have gone. The common thread is we are all Masons first, and then Shriners, but the one thing that stands out is the esteem in which our hospitals and Shriners are held by the public.

This year, the theme of the Imperial Potentate, Imp. Sir Bernie Lemieux, is “WE ARE FAMILY”.  If one of your family members has a problem, you sit down with him or her to discuss and try to solve it; not ignore it. We, in Tunis, have to move together in the same direction to carry on a proud tradition which we must honour and nurture.

 I appreciate the opportunity provided to me to serve you during the current year.  Keep in mind that 2008 is not my year nor is it your year; it is “OUR” year.  We plan to HAVE FUN WITH A PURPOSE with our Tunis family.

Nobles, I wish you and your families health, happiness and safe traveling as we continue in our objectives in Shrinedom.
