On April 10, 1997 Amaia gave birth to 5 pups: 3 boys and 2 girls. The sire is Dscho Utra Gtan-Gji Malishar.

One Day Old

Sounds of the day drift gently up to me.
I hear and heed them, but do not regret
My absence from the foot-frequented hall,
The busy kitchen. Let the others greet
The morning's visitors, herald the milkman,
Bark at the slow crump of the postman's feet
And squabble over empty envelopes,
Tearing them into toothmarked shreds and slivers...

The game has lost its urgency for me. We have spun away from the ordinary world, My pups and I. 
Here, in this satellite, This box, quiet, warm and dim, we dream, encased In a cocoon of peace, wrapped in content, Safe in our own time and our own space. My nose explores, my gentle tongue caressess
These small extensions of my secret self,
Five dear, plump, sightless, plushy, milky beings
Sheltered within the crescent of my body.

We need no other company, for I
Am wholly theirs and they are mine. We six
Are to ourselves a universe, complete.
