Anyone 14 years or older registered in the GHA (District 9) interested in becoming a Referee for the (D9RA) District 9 Referee Association will be required to attend a one hour ice session tryout on Saturday June 10th 2006 from 2:30pm - 3:30pm at Orleans Arena (Manley Rink). Everyone must be registered in advance and the cost is $10 to tryout. As part of tryout process with the on ice skating assessment we will also administer a quick quiz and interview.

I look forward to seeing many GHA players that want to become involved as referees at this tryout. The process we are using will be the only way someone in District 9 will be selected to become an official for this coming 2006-2007 season. Within a couple of days after the tryout I will advise anyone attending the tryout who we have selected to be eligible to attend the Referee clinics with the ODHA and become a qualified official this season.
