Muppet Stuff!

The biggest collection I have, which I started at age seven in 1982, is my Muppet memorabilia collection. It began with the Fisher-Price Kermit the Frog puppet. As a child I wore that puppet on my hand all the time (to school, to the dinner table, to the swimming pool at the park, etc.) and rarely took it off. Any time my family went somewhere in the car together, Kermit had to come too. In the winter, I would put on my coat still wearing Kermit so that the puppet would be tucked into the sleeve and became my mitten, and then I would only wear my left mitten to school. Of course the puppet eventually wore out, and it wasn't until several years later that I acquired a new one, pictured above, which is in mint condition. In between I've continued collecting Muppet Stuff. Mainly I've kept to collecting Kermits and vintage Sesame Street or Muppet Show items, but some Fraggles and odd characters from other shows and movies eventually joined the collection too. I literally have a closet packed with only Muppets! I'll add pictures from the collection every now and then, so check back for updates. -Mike
